On March 19, 2025, the English Language and Literature Study Program, Faculty of Adab and Humanities, UIN Alauddin Makassar, held its Lecture Series I featuring Giulia Magazzù, a linguistics and translation researcher from the University of Rome Tor Vergata, Italy.
Held virtually via Zoom, the session carried the theme "Audiovisual Translation between Tradition and Innovation." Magazzù shared insights on the evolution of audiovisual translation and the challenges it faces in the digital era. Her presentation highlighted how technological developments are reshaping traditional approaches while also opening new possibilities for translators and linguists.
